SHIPPING POLICY
How We Handle Your Order
Every bible is made-to-order to your specifications, so your order goes through a careful production process. Here's what you can expect:
Manufacturing Process
Your bible fore-edge engraving is crafted by hand once we receive your order and payment confirmation. This personalized process takes 7-14 business days from when we confirm your order details. We'll send you an email when production begins and another when your bible is ready for dispatch.
Delivery Area
We currently deliver anywhere in South Africa through our exclusive courier partner, The Courier Guy. We've chosen them for their reliability and excellent tracking system. Unfortunately, we don't offer international shipping at this time.
Shipping Costs
Great news! Shipping is completely free throughout South Africa. We've included all courier costs in our pricing to make our products more accessible and so there are no surprise charges at checkout.
Delivery Times
Once your engraved bible leaves our studio, delivery time depends on your location:
Major cities: (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria): 1-3 business days.
Outlying areas: 2-5 business days.
Tracking Your Order
We make it easy to follow your bible's journey. You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your parcel is collected by The Courier Guy. You can track your order anytime on their website using the link or waybill.
When Things Don't Go According to Plan
We understand that timing can be important, especially for gifts. If we exceed our promised manufacturing timeline and you no longer need the item, you can cancel your order without penalty and receive a full refund within 7 business days.
Risk and Responsibility
Your bible remains our responsibility until it's safely delivered to your address. We recommend being available to sign for your parcel, as The Courier Guy requires a signature for delivery. Please inspect the outer packaging before signing – if anything looks damaged, note it on the delivery receipt.

Our Commitment to Quality
We stand behind every bible we engrave and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Here's how we handle returns and exchanges:
Understanding Made-to-Order and Custom-Made Products
Because each bible is individually engraved with your personal specifications, these items cannot be returned simply due to a change of mind. South African law specifically excludes custom-made goods from the standard 7-day return period. However, we fully support your rights when it comes to quality issues and will gladly assist if an item isn't up to scratch.
When You Can Return Your Bible
We gladly accept returns in these situations:
Quality issues: If your item arrives with manufacturing defects, engraving errors, or damage that occurred during production.
Shipping damage: If your item is damaged during transit, despite our careful packaging.
Wrong order: If we've sent you the wrong bible edition or engraving design that doesn't match your confirmed order.
How to Report a Problem
If you receive an item that doesn't meet our quality standards:
Act quickly: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Email us: Send details to support@adorned.co.za.
Include photos: Clear images of the issue help us resolve problems faster.
Keep packaging: Hold onto the original packaging until we've resolved the issue.
Our Resolution Process
Once we receive your return request, we'll:
Respond promptly: We aim to reply within 48 hours.
Arrange collection: We'll organize free courier collection within 5 business days.
Offer solutions: You can choose between repair, replacement, or full refund.
Process quickly: Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days.
What We Cannot Accept
To be fair to all customers, we cannot accept returns in these situations:
- Change of mind after having already confirmed your engraving design and the item has finished production.
- Errors in text or design that you provided and approved. We'll try to mitigate this on our end with quality control, but your are ultimately responsible for the wording and spelling of the text you provide.
- Damage from use, storage, or handling after delivery.
- Bibles that show signs of use beyond initial inspection.
Refund Process
When we approve a return:
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- Processing takes 7 business days from when we receive the returned item.
- You'll receive email confirmation when the refund is processed.
- Original shipping costs remain covered by us.
